Charles Kipps has won an Emmy, a Peabody, and an Edgar Award. His television credits include Exiled: A Law & Order Movie (NBC), Little Bill (Nickelodeon), Fatherhood (Nickelodeon), The Cosby Mysteries (NBC), Columbo (ABC), and Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC).

Kipps’ film credits include Fat Albert, a feature film for Twentieth Century Fox co-written with Bill Cosby, and Frame of Mind.

Kipps began writing as a journalist, serving as Features Editor of Variety and contributing to a number of publications, among them The New York Times. He is the author of two non-fiction books, Out of Focus and Cop Without A Badge. His new novel, Hell’s Kitchen Homicide will be published September 9th.

Trivia: Kipps was awarded seven gold records writing and producing songs for artists such as Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, and former Temptation lead singer David Ruffin.
